Iowa Lakes Community College Head Women's Basketball Coach Ashley Martin announced the signing of  Tejah Hayden, a 5'7" guard from Saint Louis Park, Minnesota.

"We are thrilled that Tejah decided to continue her academic and basketball careers at Iowa Lakes. Tejah's toughness and competitive drive will be a great addition to our program.  She is athletic and can get to the rim. Excited to see her game grow at Iowa Lakes," said Coach Martin.

Tejah will graduate in June from St. Louis Park High School in Minnesota. During the course of Tejah's high school career, Tejah earned honorable mention in the Metro West Conference while being a four-year letter winner in basketball. During her senior season Tejah averaged 10 points per game, 6 rebounds, 5 steals and 3 assists per game.

Tejah's head basketball coach, Coach Richardson, had this to say about Tejah, "Our program is definitely going to miss Tejah's work ethic and competitive toughness. She was the tone setter for our young team this year. We will also miss her big smile. She was a significant reason why our program had its first winning season in 10 years and an appearance in the 2nd round of the playoffs."

Tejah had this to say about why she wanted to become a Laker, "I chose Iowa Lakes because of the smaller class sizes, as it allows me more time with the professors. I also received a warm welcome from the coaches and players. I feel like I can be successful there in school and athletics."
