The game was a back and forth affair; the Lakers trailed 17-18 after the first quarter but gained the upper hand to go into halftime 32-30. They were able to extend the lead during the 3rd quarter to gain a ten point advantage going into the fourth at 50-40.  The fourth quarter tightened back up with Grand View JV closing the gap to two points with less than 5 minutes remaining.  The Lakers were able score enough from the free throw line to close out the game.

"Incredible resiliency and composure today by our team. We got in some foul trouble in the 2nd half and our kids found a way and kept battling.  I thought we had some kids step up today that really helped our team. This is a good confidence booster for us to win a close game. I thought our clock management at the end of the game was really good. We continue to improve; excited to see us continue to progress and move forward," commented Head Coach Ashley Martin.

The Lakers are 5-1 on the season and 0-0 in conference play. The Lakers are back in action Tuesday, November 20th as they travel to St. Peter, MN to take on Gustavus Adolphus JV at 4:45pm. The Lakers return home on Monday, November 26th when they host Dakota Wesleyan JV at 5:30pm.
