The Lakers fight off Gustavus Adolphus JV 75-71 to head in Thanksgiving break. The Lakers were led by Shareece Smith who put up 22 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Breanna Wendland added 20 points and Samantha Hagedorn added 11 points.
"We were a little flat tonight. We could never really find our rhythm but am proud of the kids and how they battled through adversity tonight. Always good to pull out a win on a night when we are struggling. The kids are learning how to win close games and this will be very valuable experience as we enter conference play,"commented Head Coach Ashley Martin.
The Lakers are 6-1 on the season and 0-0 in conference play. The Lakers are back in action Saturday, November 24th as they travel to Worthington, MN to take on Minnesota West at 1:00pm. The Lakers return home on Monday, November 26th when they host Dakota Wesleyan JV at 5:30pm.
