The Lakers top Marshalltown 70-44 as they head into Christmas break. The Lakers were led by Shareece Smith with 14 points, Sam Hagedorn added 12 points, and Tejah Hayden added 11 points.
"Very good team win tonight. I thought we got a lot of contributions from everyone. Really proud of this group and all their efforts in the first semester. These girls are bought in and very focused. They are wanting to improve everyday. We have a lot of work ahead of us but I like our foundation and this group will continue to improve," commented Head Coach Ashley Martin.
The Lakers are 12-2 on the season and 2-0 in conference play. The Lakers return from Christmas break and take on Buena Vista JV at home January 7th at 5:30pm. They return to conference play Saturday, January 12th when they travel to Boone, IA to take on DMACC at 1:00pm.
