A strong defensive performance leads the Lakers over Iowa Central in a 64-49 win. The Lakers were led by point guard Shareece Smith with 27 points. Samantha Hagedorn added 15 points.
"Really nice win for our program today. So proud of our team. I thought they battled today for 40 minutes. This is a very tough environment to play in and our team stayed together and believed for 40 minutes," commented Head Coach Ashley Martin.
The Lakers are 16-3 on the season and 4-1 in conference play. The Lakers return to action Wednesday, January 23rd when they host Kirkwood at 5:30pm.
