The Lakers top Iowa Central 72-61. The Lakers were led by Breanna Wendland with 27 points. Shareece Smith added 20 points and Sam Hagedorn added 10 points.
"Great win by our team today. I thought our kids put together four good quarters of basketball. Very proud of our effort on the defensive end holding a very good Iowa Central team to 61. I really liked our energy and focus today. Hoping we can build on this and continue to improve," commented Head Coach Ashley Martin.
The Lakers are 18-5 on the season and 6-3 in conference play. The Lakers return to action Wednesday night as they travel to Iowa Falls to play Ellsworth. The Lakers return home Wednesday, February 13th when they host DMACC at 5:30pm.
