The Lakers defeated host Marshalltown 72-49 to go 2-0 at the Emerson Classic. The Lakers were led by Breanna Wendland with 14 points. Shareece Smith added 11 points and Brianna O'Donnell added 10 points.
"Overall our team had a very good weekend. I thought we improved a lot this weekend. Our kids played with a lot of energy and continue to grow. We came out with a lot of energy and fight in the 2nd half against Marshalltown and took control of the game. It was good to see our kids respond to adversity," commented Coach Martin.
The Lakers are 4-2 on the season and 0-0 in conference play. The Lakers next home game is Wednesday, November 20th when they host Gustavus Adolphus JV at 5:30pm. The
