Iowa Lakes Head Women's Basketball Coach Ashley Martin announced the signing of Andrea Vazquez from Sioux City West High School.
As a junior the forward averaged 6.6 points per game and 3.5 rebounds per game.
Coach Martin thinks Vazquez will be a great asset to the team, "I think Andrea will bring
good energy to the team. She will be a good physical presence in the post. She is extremely coachable and her best basketball is ahead of her,"
Vazquez is looking forward to the next step in her academic and athletic careers. When asked why she chose Iowa Lakes, Vazquez said, "I chose Iowa Lakes because I loved the atmosphere of the school and the team. I felt like I fit in and I got a feeling that I couldn't find at any other school. I felt welcomed and at home."
