Iowa Lakes Community College Head Women's Basketball Coach, Ashley Martin has announced Alyssa Mata to the 2020-21 recruiting class. Alyssa played for Joseph W. Nixon High School in Laredo, TX.

Mata averaged 10.7 points per game and 4.5 assists per game. She was named 1st Team All-District, Academic All-District, and TABC Academic All-State her senior year. She was an Estrella Del Deporte Recipient and a Triple A Award Honoree for athlete, attendance and academics all 4 years of high school.

"Iowa Lakes gave me the opportunity to continue my athletic and academic journey," commented Mata.

"Very excited to add Alyssa to our program. She sees the floor really well and can distribute and put her teammates in position to be successful," commented Coach Martin.
