The Iowa Lakes Women's Basketball team defeated Southwestern 73-62. The Lakers were led by Rachel Puok with 21 points. Jaeda Whitner added 17 points and 8 assists. Madison Hough added 15 points, Tianna Powell added 9 points, 6 assists, 6 steals, and 4 rebounds.

"Great team win tonight. So proud of our team and the fight they showed. I thought our girls competed really hard and made plays down the stretch. Excited to continue to see this team improve," commented Head Coach Ashley Martin.

The Lakers are 2-3 on the season and 2-3 in conference play. The Lakers return to action on Saturday, February 6, 2021 when they travel to Keokuk, IA to take on Southeastern at 1:00pm.
