The Lakers had a very balanced effort today that lead to a win over Marshalltown 77-34. The Lakers had everyone scoring today. The Lakers were led by Rachel Puok with 16 points. Jaeda Whitner added 15 points, Madison Hough with 14 points, and Hailey Miranda with 10 points. Rachel Breck pulled 16 rebounds.
The Lakers got out to a quick start up 19-6 at the end of the 1st quarter. The Lakers would go into halftime up 43-15.
"Really proud of our team today. Thought we brought great energy and found our joy in the game. The ball was moving side to side and we had a lot of good shares. We had good focus and stayed together for 40 minutes. We will build off of this," commented Head Coach Ashley Martin.
The Lakers are 5-7 on the season and 5-7 in conference play. The Lakers return to action on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 when they travel to Fort Dodge, IA to take on Iowa Central at 5pm.
