Lakers Go 1-1 at Pinnacle Bank Classic

The Iowa Lakes women's basketball team split this weekend at the Pinnacle Bank Classic in Columbus, NE to move to 6-4 on the season.

The Lakers took on North Central Community College in the first game. The Lakers lost 58-86. The Lakers were led by Rachel Breck with 15 points.

North Central was led Nora Ford with 26 points.

In the 2nd game of the classic the Lakers took on Central Community College. The Lakers would win the game 67-63. The Lakers were led by Brielle Bartelt with 20 points on 8-10 shooting from the field and 3-5 from the 3 point line. Jaeda Whitner added 19 points.

Central was led by Amy Mitchell with 21 points.

Head Coach Ashley Martin had this to say about the weekend, "We continue to improve. We are learning how hard you have to play every possession. Proud of how we came back today and earned a hard fought win on Central's home floor"

The Lakers are 6-4 on the season. The Lakers return to action this Wednesday, December 1st when they host Southwestern Community College at 5:30pm. The Lakers travel to Keokuk, IA on Sunday, December 5th when they take on Southeastern at 1:00pm.
