A balanced attack led the Lakers by the Spartans of Southwestern Community College. The Lakers had 4 players in double figures in their 79-73 win. Rachel Puok and Jaeda Whitner each scored 20 points on the night. Rachel Breck added 16 points and Brielle Bartelt added 11 points.
Southwestern was led by Whynter Waterhouse-Brennan with 19 points.
"Really good team win tonight. Southwestern is a very good team. I thought our kids executed our plan for 40 minutes and kept competing. Excited to get back to work," commented Head Coach Ashley Martin.
The Lakers are 7-4 on the season. The Lakers travel to Keokuk, IA on Sunday, December 5th when they take on Southeastern at 1:00pm. The Lakers return to play at home next Wednesday, December 8th when they host Iowa Central Community College at 5:30.
