The Iowa Lakes Women's basketball team topped Southeastern 61-50 in an ICCAC contest Sunday afternoon. Iowa Lakes (8-4 overall, 2-0 in ICCAC) was led by Jaeda Whitner with 22 points, 5 assists, and 2 steals. Rachel Breck added a double double with 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Southeastern was led by Antuanae Garrett with 15 points.
"Really proud of our mindset on the defensive end today. We were locked in and rebounded the ball," commented Head Coach Ashley Martin.
The Lakers are 8-4 on the season. The Lakers return to play at home this Wednesday, December 8th when they host Iowa Central Community College at 5:30. The Lakers then have one more home game vs Iowa Western on Wednesday, December 15th when they host Iowa Western Community College at 5:30pm.
