The Iowa Lakes Women's Basketball team (10-5 overall, 4-1 in ICCAC) topped Marshalltown in their first game back after the holiday break 79-64. The Lakers were led by Jaeda Whitner with 24 points. Rachel Breck and Brielle Bartelt each added 11 points.
Marshalltown was led by Keelie Eitel with 20 points.
"The team had a lot of fun getting back at it and playing. I thought we came out with a lot of energy and focused," commented Coach Martin
The Lakers are 10-5 on the season and 4-1 in conference play. The Lakers return to action on Saturday, January 8th when they travel to Iowa Falls, IA to take on Ellsworth Community College at 1:00pm. The Lakers return to home on Wednesday, January 12th as they take on NIACC at 5:30pm.
