The Iowa Lakes Women's Basketball team (11-5 overall, 5-1 in ICCAC) win on the road at Ellsworth 85-46. The Lakers had a very balanced scoring attack led by Jaeda Whitner with 23 points. Ihari Oromo added 15 points, Rachel Puok added 14 points, Brielle Bartelt added 11 points and Rachel Breck added 10 points.
Ellsworth was led by Teresa Paulsen with 15 points.
"Great team win today over Ellsworth. I thought we got over the hump in the 2nd half and came out with more energy. We are building on putting together 40 minutes of basketball," commented Coach Martin
The Lakers are 11-5 on the season and 5-1 in conference play. The Lakers return to home on Wednesday, January 12th as they take on NIACC at 5:30pm.
