The Iowa Lakes Women's Basketball team (12-5 overall, 6-1 in ICCAC) defeated NIACC 79-78. The Lakers were balanced offensively with 5 players in double figures. Jaeda Whitner finished 21 points. Ihari Oromo and Rachel Breck each added 14 points, Rachel Puok added 11 points, and Jasmine Jones added a double double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
NIACC was led by Audrey Martinez-Stewart with 24 points.
"We had a lot of girls step up and make plays when we needed them tonight," commented Coach Martin
The Lakers are 12-5 on the season and 6-1 in conference play. The Lakers are back in action at home on Saturday, January 15th as they take on Southeastern at 1:00pm.
