The Iowa Lakes Women's Basketball defeated Southwestern 86-59. The Lakers were led by Brielle Bartlet and Rachel Puok each with 18 points. The Lakers had very balanced scoring with 5 players in double figures. Ihari Oromo added 15 points, Jaeda Whitner added 12 points, and Rachel Breck added 10 points.
Southwestern was led by Alyssa Morris with 19 points.
"Huge win for our team on the road today. Proud of how we bounced back. I thought we played with a lot of energy and focus. The ladies executed on both ends of the floor," commented Coach Martin.
The Lakers are 16-9 on the season and 10-5 in conference play. The Lakers return to play at home on Tuesday, February 8th vs Northeast at 5:30pm.
