The Lakers had a good defensive showing tonight winning 59-54 over Northeast. The Lakers were led by Rachel Puok with a double double of 15 points and 13 rebounds. Jasmine Jones added 12 points.
Northeast was led by Ashley Hassett with 26 points.
"Proud of effort tonight on a tough shooting night. I was proud of our maturity tonight and how we fought through adversity. I thought we focused on the things we could control tonight and really came up big on the defensive end," commented Coach Martin.
The Lakers are 17-9 on the season and 11-5 in conference play. The Lakers return to play at home on Saturday, February 12th vs #1 Kirkwood at 1:00pm for Jam the Gym day.
