The Lakers went 0-2 on the weekend falling to Fort Scott in the first game 41-57. The Lakers were led by Jasmine Jones with 14 points.
Iowa Lakes came back on Saturday with great fight and fell to #4 Johnson County 64-73. The Lakers were led by Makayla Holton with 12 points and Jasmyn Hale added 10 points. The Lakers had very balanced scoring and shot 41% from the field.
"Overall this was a really good weekend for the team. Saw a lot of growth and improvement. Proud of the resilience and toughness the team showed on Saturday against the #4 team in the nation. We are learning how to play together and play through mistakes. We will build on this weekend and continue to grow," commented Coach Martin.
The Lakers are 1-2 on the season. The Lakers return to play at home on Tuesday, November 15th at 5:30pm vs Northwestern JV.
