The Iowa Lakes Women's Basketball team defeated Iowa Central 58-41.

The Lakers were led by Emma Kanz with a double double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Jasmine Jones also recorded a double double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Brielle Bartelt added 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.

"Proud of our group today. It was a good team win and thought we competed hard and are learning how hard you have to compete every possession. We are seeing growth everyday," commented Coach Martin.

The Lakers are 6-5 on the season and 1-0 in conference play. The Lakers return to play at home on Wednesday, December 7 at 5:30pm vs Marshalltown.
