The Iowa Lakes Women's Basketball team defeated #5 Lake Land 75-64.
The Lakers had very balanced scoring with five in double digits. The Lakers were led by Jaydan Nitchals with 17 points. Brielle Bartelt added 15 points. Jasmyn Hale and Emma Kanz added 12 points a piece and Anisah Wolf added 11 points.
"Really fun win on the road today. So proud of our team and their focus today. The girls were locked in and competed hard for 40 minutes. I thought the effort on the defensive end was really good. It was fun to see the ball moving side to side and sharing," commented Head Coach Ashley Martin.
The Lakers are 12-9 on the season and 5-4 in conference play. The Lakers will continue the weekend series on Sunday, January 29th vs William Penn JV in Oskaloosa, IA at 12:00pm. The Lakers return to play at home on Wednesday, February 8th at 5:30pm vs NIACC.
