Estherville, IA – Two Iowa Lakes Community College Women's Basketball athletes were named to the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Division II Women's Basketball All-Region teams.

Emma Kanz was named ICCAC All-Region second team and Jordyn Stokes was named to the ICCAC third team All-Region.

Emma had two great seasons as a Laker, but really stepped up in her sophomore campaign. She averaged 14.3 points per game, shot 52.2% from the field, and averaged 5.4 rebounds per game.

Coach Martin had this to say about Emma, "Emma really improved in her two years as a Laker. Really proud of the leadership Emma showed all year with such a young team. She was a force to be reckoned with. She showed a lot of growth on the block all year. She had tremendous footwork and finished very well on the block. I am excited to see her continue to have success at the 4-year level."

Jordyn Stokes had a phenomenal freshman season with the Lakers. She averaged 10.6 points per game, she shot 30.6% from the 3 point line, as well as shot 36.6% from the field.  She averaged 3.0 assists per game which put her 11th in the ICCAC for assists.

"Really proud of Jordyn and the season she had. She was very consistent and someone we could count on every day. She stepped up in a huge way this season carrying a lot of point guard responsibility. She is one of the hardest workers and has one of the best work ethics I have ever seen. She made everyone around her better. I'm excited to see Jordyn continue to have success at Chadron State University," commented Head Coach Ashley Martin.
