The Iowa Lakes women's golf team finished off their 2018-19 campaign with a 12th place finish at the NJCAA National Championship at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Florida. The Lakers would post a final round score of 374, a eleven shot improvement from day two. Leading the way for the Lakers on day three was Abby Stender who posted an 88 and Erin Baum who posted a 92. Other scores for Iowa Lakes was Alexia Kemper with a 96, Molly Diekmann with a 98, and Annika DuMoulin with a 100.

"I am extremely proud of the way these ladies played this week. This is a very difficult course for us and presented a whole new set of challenges that we hadn't seen yet this year," said Coach Weber.

This was Iowa Lakes' first trip to the national tournament as a team since Dan Soper led his team to a regional championship back in 2009.

Iowa Lakes head coach Jarvis Weber had this to say about his team and the season: "This year was a huge success for this program, and more importantly for each of these girls. I don't think anybody really thought that we would be sending a team to nationals this year, but these ladies worked all season to achieve a goal they set back in August. They have set the groundwork for many years to come here at Iowa Lakes and I could not be any more grateful for what they have done for this program. Annika and Molly are going to be sorely missed next year, but they will continue to play and represent our Laker family at their new colleges. Abby, Alexia, and Erin are going to be back next year and I have no doubt that they will all be tremendous leaders for the girls coming in here next fall and I am very excited to see where this program goes from here on. I just want to give one big thank you to all of these girls and their families, this has been an incredible season that I will not soon forget."
