Darlin is from Ireton, IA where he was a 2017 Football State Champion, 2nd team All state, 2-time 1st team all-state in football, 2x  District lineman of the year, 2x State wrestling qualifier, 1x State place winner, and was a member of Homecoming court. This is his first year at Iowa Lakes and is Studying HVAC and minoring in Business
