The Lakers open the season ranked 7^th in the country by intermatwrestle.com. Lead by returning All- Americans Anthony Maia ranked 1^st at 149 and Isaiah Cox ranked 2^nd at 184 the Lakers look to build on an 8^th place finish at last year's National Tournament. Returning National Qualifiers Brady Brott and Cayelon Barton are both ranked 8^th at 165 and 197 respectively.
