Iowa Lakes defeats #3 Ellsworth 24-16

In a top five matchup between #3 Ellsworth and #4 Iowa Lakes the Lakers came out victorious. After a disappointing showing at NWCA National Duals last week coach Cody Alesch was happy with the way they rebounded and had this to say about his team "I'm really proud of the way we fought hard the entire match across the lineup. Ellsworth brought the fight to us as we expected and the boys responded the way they need to. The amount of fight was the biggest difference between tonight's performance, and National Duals." Freshman  David Hollingsworth III, who's currently ranked 8th, picked up the fall in the 54 seconds into the second period. Another freshman, Marcus Placide, was able to pick up a big win for the Lakers and pin his opponent in 20 seconds. The Lakers also got wins from Hasan Krigger at 125, #7 Anthony Fisher at 141, #5 Bunmi Smith at 165, and #2 Isaiah Cox at 184. Complete results can be found below.
