Iowa Lakes Men's Wrestling Team Drops First Dual of the Season

The Lakers suffered a tough defeat at home vs. conference opponent Indian Hills 5-51. Iowa Lakes began the dual down by 30 due to forfeits. In spite of this setback, each wrestler put up a tough fight and showed improvement on their perfomance since the Pointer open this weekend. The dual was highlighted by an outstanding performance from freshman wrestler Aiden Crawley, winning his first dual match by technical fall. Head Coach Corey Meyer had a few words to say about the match:

"Anytime we have a conference dual I know it's going to be tough competition. Indian Hills is no different, they have a great team and wrestled well. Even though we were not at full strength I'm proud of the way they competed. Because of the growth I've seen over the last few days since the last competition I'm really excited about what this group can accomplish."
