6 Lakers Set for National Tournament

Iowa Lakes will have six wrestlers competing at the National Tournament on March 1st and 2nd at the Mid-American Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa. These six athletes qualified through strong individual performances at the North Central District tournament where the Lakers placed 6th as a team.

Head Coach Corey Meyer stated, "We are really excited for this time of year. It is really easy to be motivated this time of year, so the effort is high. Right now, we are focused on getting our bodies right and healed after a long season, as well as getting their minds right and staying positive as well as being grateful to be able to compete on the National stage."

The full lineup of Iowa Lakes wrestlers competing at the national championship tournament is as follows:

Osvaldo Ocampo 125 lbs.

Ayden Rader 133 lbs.

Aiden Crawley 141 lbs.

Fischer Hawkins 149 lbs.

Uslises Placido 165 lbs.

Tyreik Davidson 285 lbs.
