Laker Women Place Four on All-Region Soccer Team

Four Iowa Lakes Community College women's soccer players have been named to the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Division I Women's Soccer All-Region teams. Adelle Brown was named to the ICCAC All-Region 1st Team, Laura McGuinn was named 2nd team All-Region, and Crystal Molineaux and Isabela Polanco were named Honorable Mention All-Region.

In an interview with the Laker Women's Head Soccer Coach, Blake Viedenkamp, he offered the following quotes on each of the recipients:

"Adelle Brown has been a brick wall for the Lakers this season. Despite only having one clean sheet, Brown has made incredible saves over the season and has kept us in some crucial games this season. Over the past two years, she has been a big part of our team and has shown significant improvement. This year was unique as we had the opportunity to watch Adelle transition into the role of captain, and this is what every coach likes to see in their players. I wish her the best of luck in the future, wherever she may go." stated Blake Viedenkamp, Head Women's Soccer Coach, when asked about Brown this season.

"Laura McGuinn has been an outstanding freshman for the Lakers. Her endless work ethic and drive have been the spark that the women's soccer program has been needing. McGuinn and her abilities this season can be summed up in two words, consistent and resilient. Her work rate this year was valuable to our team, and I would say that she is one of the most underrated players in our conference. ", commented Viedenkamp.

"Crystal Molineaux has been versatile this year by stepping into multiple positions and kept a good attitude when asked to make these changes. Molineaux was a crucial player for our team all season, especially when in the centerback position. She is very athletic, reads the game well, and is calm on the ball. She has a good presence in the back and is an amazing teammate. We look forward to her return to the Laker's next year," commented Viedenkamp.

"Isabela Polanco was another impactful player this year, as she had a great presence for us in midfield. Palanco was also quite versatile and could pick up any position and would excel. She scored some great looking goals this year," commented Viedenkamp.

The Lakers ended their season with an overall record of 6-8-1 and 4-4-1 record in conference.
