The Lakers earned their first win of the 2019-20 season against Southeastern CC on this past Saturday by a score of 3-0. The scoring opened in the first half with a penalty from Ciara Joyce in the 30th minute. Then, in the second half, there were back to back goals in the 60th and 69th minute by Emily MacLeod (assisted by Sofia Hernandez-Riano) and Josie Byers (unassisted).

"Our first two games were far from home against two quality sides. It was a great response from the team after starting 0-2. We had a few key injuries heading into Southeastern that forced us to shuffle things around, but the girls were fantastic. All of them worked extremely hard front to back. Bruna had a great work rate up top that helped us secure a couple of goals," said Coach Viedenkamp.

The women will play again on Wednesday, September 4th at home against Minnesota West Community and Technical College, kickoff at 2:00 PM.
