The Lakers earned a win at home against NIACC this evening. Scoring was opened up with a free kick by Ciara Joyce in the first half. Crystal Molineaux and Sofia Hernandez Riano each had two goals of their own. NIACC capitalized on a penalty midway through the second half. The contest ended with a final score of 5-1.
"We have had a tough schedule this past week and a half. The girls played well in those games, but we just couldn't get the result. We needed this win tonight, and we got it. The ladies deserved it," said Viedenkamp
The Lakers travel down to Bettendorf on Saturday October 12th to take on SCC for their next match.
