Lakes Earn First Conference Win

Lakes Earn First Conference Win

The Iowa Lakes women's soccer team defeated Indian Hills for the first time in over three years this season. During the early stages of the game, the Lakers had some good possession moments and created a lot of chances. During the 37th minute, Adriel Schultzen dribbled 40 yards out to the box and scored Lakes' first goal. Despite Schultzen's brilliance, Hill's defenders struggled to contain her speed. Hills had many opportunities in the second half, but they could not take advantage of them. Because of Iowa Lakes' defensive discipline and resilience in the second half, the team held on to a 1-0 lead and won its first conference game. With the win, the Lakers are overjoyed and look forward to welcoming Iowa Central on Wednesday.
