Iowa Lakes Goes 3-1 at Anoka-Ramsey Tournament

The Iowa Lakes Women's Volleyball Team traveled to Anoka-Ramsey for a tournament today. The Lakers won three matches agasint DCTC 2-0 (25-19, 25-23), Itasca 2-1 (22-25, 25-19, 15-5), and Mesabi Range 2-0 (25-23, 26-24) and lost against Bethel 0-2 (21-25, 25-27).  Against DCTD Kali Mumm led the offense with 7 kills and hitting .500% while RaeAhna Harmon led the defense with 10 digs behind Victoria MacNeils 4 blocks at the net.  The Lakers used a balanced attack vs Itasca with three players combining for 31 kills, Harmon (13), Julia Beckius (10), and Mumm (8), while they used 8 team blocks and 39 digs to slow down Itasca's offense.  Samantha Hyde came up with 12 digs while Baylee Moore notched 8 digs and Katlyn Harman and MacNeil each recorded 3 blocks in the match.  Harmon (10) and Mumm (8) came up big for the offense again against Masabi Range with 18 combined kills.  The team ran into a solid Bethel team and while the Lakers hit .308% for the match they just couldn't stop Bethel's offense.  Iowa Lakes is now 9-5 on the season and 1-1 in conference play, they have their first home game Wednesday in Estherville at 7pm vs Southeast.
