Immediately after the loss the Lakers took the floor to face the Lake Region State College Royals. "After losing the first match, the kids were a little deflated," said Coach Hunter. "We went into the hall and refocused. Before we stepped back on the court, mentally we became a new team. As a team they were hungry for a win."  From the first serve the Lakers began to sail passed their competition. Leading the defensive charge Libero, Maggie Baker, had 10 digs and one ace. Also assisting on the backrow, Brooke Pennington recorded seven digs and five aces. On the offensive attack the Lakers were led by RaeAhna Harmon and Madison McCarty putting up a combined 18 kills for the three set sweep over the Royals.
