Laker Volleyball Goes to 5 Sets Against Ellsworth

Coming off of a long weekend at a tournament in Wahpenton, ND, the Lady Lakers didn't quite have enough "gas in the tank" to earn a win tonight.  The Lakers ended up playing 5 sets tonight, winning 2 sets against Ellsworth but couldn't grasp a conference win against their opponent this evening.

"With some injuries on the team, some of the girls have to adjust to playing different positions but that's not an excuse for us not earning a win tonight. The girls made some untimely mistakes which resulted in us playing all 5 sets. We just couldn't manage to finish out the 5th set; resulting in a loss.  We have to live, learn and get ready for our matches this weekend," said Coach Hunter.

The Lakers travel to Ridgewater College in Wilmar, MN this weekend to take on the University of Jamestown (JV), Ridgewater College, College of DuPage and Saint Cloud Technical Community College. The first match begins on Friday the 15th at 3:15 p.m. against the University of Jamestown (JV). The Lakers return home on Wednesday September 20th at 7:00 p.m. against Marshalltown Community College.
