Lakers Fall to Southeastern CC

BURLINGTON, IA - Iowa Lakes Volleyball faced Southeastern Community College in a conference match up tonight at 7pm in Burlington, IA. The Lakers struggled finding the court against Southeastern and fell in three sets (20-25, 12-25, 16-25). 

The Lakers played tight with Southeastern in the first set, but couldn't find the energy to finish; losing by five points in the end. After a devastating first loss, the Lakers were on their heels for the rest of the match and couldn't get back into rhythm. 

Coach Porter says, " As a team we struggled finding holes in Southeastern defense.They stayed aggressive at the net and made timely plays when we were back on our heels." 

The Lakers travel to Fort Dodge, IA to play in Iowa Central's Tournament on Friday, October 20th and Saturday, October 21st.
