RaeAhna Harmon Signs to Division II Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia.

Iowa Lakes Volleyball player, RaeAhna Harmon, signed to Division II Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia. She will transfer in Spring 2018.

RaeAhna had this to say about why she chose to continue her academic and athletic careers at Augusta University, "I am excited for the opportunity to continue my volleyball and academic careers at Augusta University. I love the campus and I am ready to start the season in the Fall." 

During RaeAhna's freshman season at Iowa Lakes she was a six rotation outside. Out of the front row she recorded 525 kills and 54 blocks. In the back row she led defense earning 429 digs and serving 62 aces. She also led the conference in three statistical categories: Kills per set, total kills, and aces per set.

In her second year at ILCC RaeAhna hit a career milestone recording her 1000th kill and finishing her career as a Laker with 1,054 total kills. As a sophomore she earned led the Lakers in kills and blocks: Recording 529 kills and 66 total blocks. She also posted 357 digs and 37 aces from the backrow. Harmon was ranked as high as second in the nation in total kills in the 2017 season. She received both first team All-Conference and All-Region.

Coach Hunter stated "RaeAhna is a hard working kid! She has such a drive and desire to improve and to be the best she can be. I am very excited that she has the opportunity to play at the next level. This season I got to see RaeAhna shine through adversity and develop as a player and a leader on and off the floor. I can't wait to see her succeed at Augusta. She would be a great addition to any program. She has set the bar high for the athletes in future classes."

Harman will complete the academic year at her new school in Augusta, Georgia. RaeAhna's thoughts on her signing, "I have been blessed with wonderful people that have help me reach my goals and get me to where I am today. A special thanks to Iowa Lakes, my athletic trainer, Kyle Norris, all of my teachers, and coaches, who have done nothing but believe in me, support me, and work hard to help me find my way to this new opportunity."
