Iowa Lakes Volleyball Welcomes Faith Marroquin

On Monday April 16, 2018, the Lakers welcomed Faith Marroquin to their 2018 Iowa Lakes Volleyball family. Marroquin is a 5'3 Libero from Anchorage, AK. Faith attends West Anchorage High School where she earned many athletic honors. She was the captain and MVP of her varsity volleyball team and was named Alaska All-Conference First Team Libero. Currently at her high school she is the Orchestra Concert Master and maintains a 3.8 GPA.

"We are very excited to have such a go-getter on our team" said Coach Hunter. "Faith has a very infectious positive energy about her. She espiers to be the best she can and in doing so inspires others around her. She is quick footed, reads well, and is extremely coachable. She really is a special player and we are so excited to add such a talented athlete to the Laker volleyball family."

While attending Iowa Lakes, Faith wants to continue to continue to grow in her leadership capabilities, her defensive skills and start her degree in Criminal Justice. With a smile, faith had this to say about her decision to become a Laker, "I can't describe the feelings and thoughts running through my mind. I am so truly blessed with this incredible opportunity to attend ILCC and play for Coach Porter. I cannot wait for the season to start!"
