The Iowa Lakes Community College Women's Volleyball team fell in their home opener Wednesday night to Minnesota West Community and Technical College. The Laker served up a tough night completing 31 of 36 serves, but unfortunately that still left them short of a win.
Coach Mike Turnball had this to say, "Our goal is to keep getting better and compete whistle to whistle, but we do have to start playing smarter".
The Lakers look to continue their season with a weekend tournament in Highland, Kansas. There they will play Coffeyville Community College (Friday at 4:00pm), Highland Community College (Friday at 6:00pm), Neosho County Community College (Saturday at 9:00am), and Allen County Community College (Saturday at 1:00pm).
