The Lakers traveled to Worthington, MN to take on Minnesota West Community College. Iowa Lakes (2-14) dropped a tightly contested match at MN West; (0-3) 21-23, 23-25, & 25-27.
Coach Turnbull was pleased with the effort, "The match could have gone 3-0 the other way just as easy. We played very well early in each set, but the Blue Jays did a much better job finishing out the sets. It came down a few ball handling errors being the difference."
The Lakers next match is Wednesday, September 18th, as they travel to Burlington, IA to take on Southeastern Community College. The Lakers return to play at home Wednesday, October 16th as they take on Kirkwood Community College.
