Lakers battle at Bell Bank Invite in Wahpeton

The Lakers went up against some stiff competition. They took a set off of Dakota State University and lost to Bismarck State College, North Dakota College of Science, and Minnesota State Community and Techincal College in 3. The Lakers are down a key contributor in Kenzie Lee with an injury and that gave others a great oppurtunity to earn some playing time and show how they can compete against other teams. "We definitely had some positive moments like taking a set off of Dakota State and almost one off of MSCTC. We still need to improve our efficiency and make adjustments faster if we want to be successful," said Coach Erdman.

Weekend Stat Leaders: Kills: Morgan Wigg 21, Adri Krieger 18, Jordan Grimes and Alyson Hagberg 10 a piece, Aces: Makenzie Uribe 8, Kylah Cortez 4, Blocks: Hailey Shequen and Jordan Grimes 4 a piece, Digs: Makenzie Uribe 42, Morgan Wigg 34, Kylah Cortez 30, Alyson Hagberg 19, and Jordan Grimes 16, Assists: Jordan Grimes 33, Alyson Hagberg 24.

The Lakers are 1-19. The Lakers have a double header of conference events this week Hosting #6 in the Nation, Kirkwood on Tuesday the 19th at 7:00 pm in Laker Gymnasium. They also travel to West Burlington, Iowa to take on Southeastern at 7:00 pm.
