The #6 team in the Nation, Kirkwood Community College came to Laker Gymnasium Tuesday, September 20th. They were very dominant for most of the match but the Lakers showed heart and grit against a very strong opponent. The Eagles swept the Lakers but the first set was 18-25, with a lot of heart on both sides. "When you play a team with that much maturity, athleticism and ability to execute, you know it will be a big challenge for your team. I thought our women did a great job trying to slow the match down, play it in little increments and compete," Said Coach Erdman.

Stat Leaders: Kills: Morgan Wigg 5 Digs:Morgan Wigg 11, Jordan Grimes and Kylah Cortez 7 a piece, and Makenzie Uribe 6; Aces: Makenzie Uribe and Kylah Cortez 2 a piece.

The Lakers are 1-20 and 0-4 in conference. On Thursday the Lakers will travel to West Burlington to take on Southeastern Community College at 7:00 pm.
