"Makenzie is an extremely driven athlete who constantly drives to be better and her craft. She lead our teams back court all year, she was the one we wanted the ball funneled too and teams wanted the ball funneled away from. Makenzie was a captain and lead by example throughout the season, especially as the year went on. We are excited that she is a freshman and will have another year to compete at Iowa Lakes," commented Head Coach Nick Erdman.

Morgan Wigg, a freshman from Willow River, MN led the team in kills with 201 at a clip of 1.68 kills per set. Morgan was one of three athletes on our team that hit positive this year at .070. "Morgan is one the most explosive athletes I have had the honor of coaching, she jumps right out of the gym. She showed resilency this year battling injuries almost throughout the year and being asked to change positions twice. Morgan came to Iowa Lakes as a middle and got converted to outside becaue of her ability to pass, she later did a great job transitioning back to middle to help fill a void in our block. We are excited that Morgan is a freshman and has another year of elgibility to use at Iowa Lakes," commented Head Coach Nick Erdman.

The Lakers ended their season with an overall record of 2-35 and 0-11 record in conference.
