Kylah Cortez a Sophomore Defensive Specialist from Sioux City, Iowa hit two major career accomplishments this season for the Lakers. This season Kylah passed both the 500 career dig mark and 100 career service ace mark. She hit the 500 dig mark against Southeastern Community College on September 21st in Burlington and finished her Iowa Lakes career with 594 digs. She hit the 100 ace mark against Ellsworth on October 6th at a tournament in Mason City, and ended her Laker career with 114 Surface Aces. "Kylah has done an amazing job being a steady, calm back row presence here for the last two seasons, she also is an extremely aggressive server who can score consistently. Kylah has all the skills to be a big influencer at whatever four year she decides to transfer on too," said Coach Erdman.
