The Iowa Lakes CC Volleyball team is very happy to announce that Lily Kunselman from Dakota Ridge High School, and Littleton, Colorado has signed a Letter of Intent to attend Iowa Lakes CC and play volleyball in the fall of 2024.

Laker coach Nick Erdman is excited to have Lily joining the program. "Lily brings the three big things we are looking for in a signee. She is an extremely hard working, strong student in the classroom, high IQ athlete and a great down to earth person. Lily brings a really strong passer to our group, with the IQ to put balls in great places to score. We will look to utilize her both on the outside and in the back row."

Lily has been a part of the Dakota Ridge program for the last four seasons, as well as playing for FUNdamentals VBC for six seasons. Lily was first team academic all state in 2023 and 2024, and was on the high school honor roll all for years in high school. Lily also volunteers at Community ministry food bank, FUNdamentals volleyball camps, and also by giving lessons to eigth grade volleyball players. 

Fundamentals club director, Kendra Adams said this about Lily, "We are beyond thrilled that Lily has chosen to play collegiate volleyball for Iowa Lakes Community College. She will be an asset to their program just as she has been in our club program these past 6 years. She is an outstanding player and person. She is a fierce competitor and is very driven to excel in all that she does. We have no doubts she will have a big impact on the successes the women's volleyball program at Iowa Lakes will have next fall. Congratulations Lily and have a great season!"

Lily, who intends to study Biology at Iowa Lakes said, "I chose to attend Iowa Lakes and play volleyball because I want to further my education by completing my associates degree while becoming a better volleyball player surrounded by an amazing group of girls."
