7 Laker Women Set to Compete in Iowa Lakes 1st ever Women's National Tournament
Iowa Lakes has 7 women's wrestlers competing at the National Tournament on March 1st and 2nd at the Mid-American Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa. These seven athletes qualified for the NJCAA Women's Wrestling Invitational.
Head Coach Corey Muniz stated, "The main thing we are focused on is effort, and ours is at an all time high. We are going to carry that momentum into the National Tournament. We have a cool mixed bag of ladies, some ladies who are excited and have some high expectations, and some ladies who are grateful to be out there to represent Iowa Lakes in our first year."
The full lineup of Iowa Lakes wrestlers competing at the national championship tournament is as follows:
Kylie Hessenius 109 lbs.
Alex Carty 109 lbs.
Alex Koep 116 lbs.
Isabel Jues 130 lbs.
Leila Kollasch 136 lbs.
Morgan Griffin 155 lbs.
Kylee Jo Ballesteros 155 lbs.

The tournament begins Friday, March 1st at 9:00 am and concludes Saturday, March 2nd using double elimination format.
