Isabel Jues Becomes Programs First Scholar All-American

Iowa Lakes Women's Wrestling program continues to break barriers as Isabel Jues earns Scholar All-American Honors from the National Wrestling Coaches Association.

Jues, a student of the Electrical Technology program and the 130 lb National Qualifier, comes to Estherville from Beaver Dam, WI.

"I feel very accomplished and pleased with myself that I was able to achieve my goals and also earn this achievement along with it. As for being the first in the program, all I can say is I look forward to next year and work work hard to get it again" said Jues.

Coach Corey Muniz had this to say about Izze, "She's a stud. Takes care of it all and shows what effort is needed to be a high level student-athlete. She can revel over this achievement, but knowing that she is yet to be content is what makes her so important to this program. I can not wait to see what next year has for her and her impact on the incoming class".

Jues earned a 3.48 GPA in the fall and her 2-2 performance at the National Invite were what earned her this distinguished honor.
