Northeast (11-17, 5-13 ICCAC) was solid on the offensive end of the floor as Bryan Rolle (Nassau, Bahamas) tallied 18 points, Bryson Faines (Lincoln, Neb.) added 17 and Vincent Garrett put in another 13. In all, 10 Hawks registered points in the matchup, but it was difficult for Northeast to keep up with the Lakers as Iowa Lakes shot 50-percent from the field and 70.8-percent from three-point range Saturday. Year one under Josh Clark is now in the books as the Hawks will look to build off of this season with a plethora of freshmen on the roster poised to return next year with experience under their belt.
STAT SHEET:
Bryan Rolle (Nassau, Bahamas): 18 PTS, 9 REB, 4 STL
Bryson Faines (Lincoln, Neb.): 17 PTS, 5 REB, BLK

HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Head Men's Basketball Coach Josh Clark on the defeat to the Lakers:
"Tough one for the guys," Clark said. "They played hard. Just couldn't overcome the hot shooting from Iowa Lakes. They shot 71-percent from three for the game, and when a team shoots that well against tough defense, it makes for a tough game. Credit to Iowa Lakes. They are a good team that hopefully goes deep in the region tournament."
Clark on the year coming to an end:
"I'm so proud of our sophomores and how they are the anchor for the type of program we're trying to build," Clark said. "Thank you to the students, Northeast faculty and staff, fans and families that supported us through this year. We'll be back better than ever!"
THANK YOU:
Northeast Athletics would like to extend a huge thank you to our sophomores, the families of our student-athletes, our amazing fans and all our supporters for making this year such a memorable one! We can't wait to see you in the fall!
