HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Head Men's Basketball Coach Josh Clark on where the game was lost for Northeast:
"We talked about transition defense," Clark said. "We have been working with it. We knew what we had to do. When we got into it, we kind of lost our guy. We found a five that was engaged and ready to go. I thought that five kept it up, but Iowa Lakes did exactly what we want to do to teams."
Clark on how his squad can bounce back from this loss heading into an important stretch:
"Now the guys have seen that this is the standard," Clark said. "That was the No. 12 team in the nation. We stood toe-to-toe with them. For a third or fourth of the game we were ahead or right there. It was little stretches that they gained a lead. We know what we need to do before going down and playing Iowa Western."
UP NEXT:
The Hawks will hit the road and will battle Iowa Western Community College at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
